Super easy, super tasty, super apple pie.

I grew up on the hill portion of a street named Cypress Avenue (We always called it Cypress Hill). My mom got an apple pie recipe from one of our neighbors and made her own adjustments to make it perfect! You really can’t screw up apple pie, however, her exact recipe is by far the best apple pie I’ve had yet and we are happy to pass it on!

½ cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons flour

½ teaspoon cinnamon

Approx. 2 tablespoons of butter

Green cooking apples (6-10 depending on the size)

2 pre made pie crusts

Mix together sugars, flour and spices. Pile pared, sliced apples into crust, quite high. Pour sugar mixture carefully over the apples. Dot with melted butter before covering with top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Note: put a few slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
