It has recently been reported that bed bugs are attacking residents of a motel in Staten Island.  Many of the residents have been placed in the motel by Project Hospitality; who help families and individuals by providing low cost or no cost places to live.

Many of the residents are reporting that they have been bitten by bed bugs in every unit of the motel that they have been placed in.  The management is taking the position that the residents are bringing them in and they state that they spray for bed bugs every day.   Many of the residents have now been diagnosed with Scabies too, which is a contagious skin infection.  As a result of the complaints, Project Hospitality is moving their residents out of the facility and the residents have filed a lawsuit.

The problem is that once you encounter bed bugs, you can’t just move away from them.  Bed bugs don’t just occupy beds.  They can get into all of your belongings.  Nothing is off limits to these creatures.  They are excellent at hiding and come out in the dark of night so they are difficult to find.  Once you encounter bed bugs, you must have a comprehensive treatment plan to get rid of the pests.
